Maine Moose Hunting
The 2012 moose applications are available now. Check out: http://www.maine.gov/ifw/ . You can print off your application or apply on line. The rules have changed this year with regard to "points" for the years you apply but are not drawn. It sounds like it will be more fair.
The regular Moose lottery will be held in June. We hope you were lucky to have your name drawn and wish you the very best. Keep us in mind for lodging with or without meals and/or guide service - we will call your bull in, search for the perfect cow or hunt with you in stalking mode to make your dream hunt the best ever.
Many 50” to 60” bulls with weights pushing 1,000 pounds are very common in our area, Zone 6. Apply on line for your moose permit no later than May 1s. The drawing is held in June this year. Five hundred permits will be issue for zone 6 this year over the three hunting periods starting the end of September. Don’t hesitate to get your application in for our guided moose hunt.
