Deer Hunting
2011 deer season has come to an end. We had 12 hunters this year and we collectively saw 10 buck including the one pictured above. We had pretty bad weather and I don’t believe the rut was as heavy and active as in previous years. The buck above was the only one shot. Multiple reasons but folks looking to bag a monster and not having the perfect shot resulted in only one deer being tagged. Everyone had a great time and anxious to come back next year. The mild weather and very little snow will help the deer herd continue to grow.

The 8 pointer on the left and the 6 pointer on the right were taken off trail cameras after all deer hunting was over.
These buck pictures were taken about 100 yards from a tree stand I had set up for this year.

Snow is good for tracking but as you can see still hunting can be succesful in all conditions

A nice buck track seen in a cedar swamp. Note the length and the well defined due claws. This was a very heavy deer
Joe Fuster from Pittsfield, VT took this 12 point monster weighing 247 lbs. The rack had a 20 inch inside spread scoring 155 1/4 Boone & Crockett
